Day 1 – NJP/IXB to Darjeeling transfer
Welcome on arrival at IXB/NJP meet our representative and transfer to Darjeeling (90kms/3hrs) .Once the summer capital of India, Darjeeling is a land of infinite variety and charm. It will cater you a mix-experience of lively nature charming Himalayan people. Surrounded by Tea gardens; this little town faces some of the highest peaks of the Himalayas. Take a rest and then a walk around town to appreciate the new culture you are in. . Overnight at the hotel.
Day 2 – Darjeeling local Sightseeing – Full day
Early morning starts for Tiger Hill (subject to availability of pass) to watch the spectacular sunrise and its amazing effects on the Mt. Kanchendzonga (Worlds 3rd highest peak), Visit Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop War Memorial while returning to the Hotel. After breakfast followed by Half day mixed point local sightseeing covering RopeWay, Tenzing rock, ( Except Rock garden & Ganga maya Park) , Padmaja N. Zoological Garden, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Tibetan Refugee Self-help Center and Japanese Temple & Peace Pagoda. After that visit to the Mall (Chowrasta) along with the local Market for City Life. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 3 – Darjeeling to Gangtok transfer
Morning after breakfast transfer to Gangtok (110kms/4hrs), at an altitude of 5500ft Gangtok is the Capital of Sikkim. Overnight at hotel
Day 4 – Gangtok to Lachen transfer (North Sikkim)
After breakfast pickup from your hotel at Gangtok and Transfer to Lachen(135 kms/6–6.5hrs), en-route sightseeing at Sighik View point, Chumthang Valley, Twin Falls and Vima Falls. Reach Lachen late afternoon / early evening – The snow capped peaks, the Shingbha wild life sanctuary, Gurudongmar Lake, Chopta Valley, Thangu are the major attraction – It’s a valley surrounded by gigantic and humbling snow peak mountains and the starting point of Green Lake Trek – In fact the village cradled between stern, tall rock faces standing like guards – A hamlet with very few people – It almost like this town is hidden from the outside – Like a Shangri – La – Check into a hotel – Welcome Tea – Evening free to stroll and visit the Lepcha Village – Overnight stay at Hotel in Lachen.
Day 5 – Excursion to Gurudongmer Lake & transfer to Lachung
Early morning drive to Thangu Village (Alt 13625Ft / 4100M), a remote high altitude village of Tibetan Nomads and also proceed further to Chopta Valley(outer view only) (Alt 13325Ft / 4000M) to get some breathtaking view of alpine valley of frozen rivers. From Chopta Valley drive for another 30kms in 1.5hr to Gurudongmar Lake (Alt 17375Ft / 5225M). A valley at an altitude of 11, 800 feet through which Lachen Chu flows, generally covered with snow from December to April or even more is known as the Holy / Sacred Lake. After lunch drive to Lachung,49 kms-2 hrs journey. Overnight at hotel.
Day 6 – Excursion to Yumthang Valley & transfer back to Gangtok
Early morning after breakfast start for half-day excursion trip to Yumthang Valley, en-rote visit Hot Spring and Singba Rhododendron Sanctuary.Some photographs of the natural scenes of Switzerland and Yumthang valley are very hard to distinguish. Yumthang, which is at an altitude of 12,000 ft., is situated about 135 km from Gangtok. April and May promises colorful flowers & Orchids, where as November end to March usually sees snows, Transfer back to Lachung for Lunch followed by onward trip back to Gangtok. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 7 – Excursion to Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir. Optional tour Nathula.
After breakfast half-day trip to Tsomgo lake (12400ft), which is only 32 kms from Gangtok City, the oval shaped lake is almost about 1Km long, and 15 mtrs deep. The lake is considered sacred by the local people,After that visit 18 kms from the lake Baba Mandir, (temple of disappeared army personal) and back to Gangtok. Evening free at Gangtok for shopping and individual activity. Overnight at hotel. (Optional tour is, Nathula the Indo-Chaina border is 20 kms. from Tsomgo lake (subject to availability of special permit for Indian tourist only on additional payment at Gangtok for separate permit) – Closed on Mondays & Tuesdays. Overnight at Gangtok hotel.
Day 8 – Gangtok to NJP/IXB transfer
Morning transfer to IXB/NJP ( 125kms / 4.5hrs). After Doing the Border & Immigration, Start journey to Dhaka.
